In 2018, my friend Elaine and her designer came to my studio to discuss ideas for artwork in her Dana Point home. Off the cuff, I drew the shape for this piece, along with the other pieces in this series, Fire and Ice, and Fire. Fire and Ice is a brilliant combination of vibrant colors. Of course, I had to make it in blues (Ice) and the fiery oranges (Fire), too!
