Cathy is an artist who brings tranquility, beauty and color to all of her artwork. I am always excited to receive a new piece of art from Cathy for our gallery, or work with Cathy when we have a client who would like a custom art glass piece from her.
The quality she brings to each piece is apparent, the uniqueness of each artwork, and her visual concepts are breathtaking.

We met Cathy and became familiar with her stunning work while she was installing a commissioned piece in our neighbor’s home. We knew then that we had to have her create a piece for us! Cathy came to our home to view our specific area and take appropriate measurements. She also reviewed the colors in our existing art so as to have her design tie in with it.
Returning home, she pulled the glass color palette together for our approval. Upon completion, the art piece was shipped. It was delivered, beautifully packed, and arrived safely on the time frame she had provided.
We are thrilled with the piece and can’t wait to commission Cathy to do an additional art piece for us.

We commissioned Cathy to design a piece for a prominent spot in our new retirement home. Because we live in the Hill Country in Texas, we wanted the art to reflect the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers, as well as the colors of Texas wildflowers. Cathy certainly came through for us! The design flows just as the rivers do, and the colors are beautiful — a stunning piece of art! It’s the crowning jewel of our home.

Cathy is a wonderfully creative artist, and very fun to work with. She took all of our ideas and patiently sent us color samples and sketches for our approval. She followed detailed dimensions and worked with our contractor and with her metal worker to fit our piece in a very specific sidelight space. We were thrilled when we opened up the packages and it all fit perfectly!

Cathy created several beautiful glass pieces for our new home. She worked closely with us to transform our ideas into a gorgeous centerpiece for our dining room. Her work is stunning, elaborate and beautifully crafted. She delivered one-of-a-kind, personalized designs. We would highly recommend Cathy. Cathy was extremely accommodating, not only in letting my clients see the process of her work, but also in choosing the exact color and textures of glass for her stunning art design. She visited my client’s high-rise, both before the creation for inspiration, and during the final installation. It was a huge success as my client was moved to tears of joy when she saw it displayed. Cathy Shepherd is an amazing artist. She created two stunning pieces for our home in southern California. She is such a visionary artist who is so approachable and makes time to listen to the needs and wants of her clients. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect!

I stumbled onto Cathy’s work during an internet search looking for a unique contemporary painting for a special place in our beach home. Once I found her work, I fell completely in love. I knew in an instant that it was exactly what I was looking for. A normal seashore painting simply would not do now.
I contacted Cathy and she was prompt to reply. Although miles apart, Cathy and I worked closely to bring to life a completely gorgeous and unique piece for our home. Once we completed the design and decided on colors, Cathy got straight to work. She accurately provided completion dates, delivery schedule, and cost. During the construction of my piece, she updated me often to advise and show interim clips of the progress. Very quickly, she was finished and ready to ship.
To say that I am completely thrilled with the finished product would be an understatement. Our fused glass wall art piece is the focal point in our living area and I am now the recipient of nonstop compliments on my decor. It’s simply stunning, and I am so thrilled to have discovered Cathy and her beautiful work. We were looking for a unique piece of art to display in a very large space in our sitting area. After considering various mediums and looking in galleries in several cities we had recently visited, we decided that we wanted a glass art piece for our space.
We went to Vetro Studio in Grapevine several times and discussed the different pieces we might be able to have made. Every time we went to Vetro Studio, I admired several of Cathy’s pieces that were on display.
Ultimately we went to La Montage, whom we had worked closely with on framing our artwork, and they recommended that we meet with Cathy. After showing Cathy pictures of the room and space, discussing the colors of glass, she showed us her vision of a unique piece she would like to create. We loved her ideas and contracted her to make it for us. The end result is a stunningly beautiful glass art piece that was created just for us.

We contacted Cathy with our request to have artwork that depicted underwater kelp and bulbs with specific colors. Cathy listened, provided pictures that might work, collaborated concerning colors and design, and showed us all along the way her understanding of what we wished for.
Cathy was wonderful, accommodating, sensitive to changes and great to work with. She also worked with the sheet aluminum artist for the mounting board that was specifically requested to meet our specifications.
